Bill Dawson & Susette Hewitt were married in a hot air balloon over Wilsonville, Oregon on July 18,1992.
The ceremony began at dawn (when the outside air is cooler than the hot air in the balloon) with friends and family gathered in the park in front of a ballon arch.
At the point of the vows, the wedding party led a procession over to awaiting balloons (one for the wedding party and another for the preacher, guitarist, and photographer).
As the couple and their respective counterparts ascended into the sky, “I do’s” were exchanged for all on the ground to hear.
